Home again (at least I am...)

The rest of the holiday went great, we saw so many things we felt like rockstars who can't remember where they were yesterday. We had a day with two glacier walks, one day trip to see the Paradise (actually place called Paradise!) and then almost bought a horse trekking business from Lake Tekapo...

We also found our first customers for our new business from a day trip to see LOTR sights. We went with a guy who had been extra in the movie (who there wouldn't have been?) and there was two other Finns there. Statistically surprising, but a pleasent surprise anyway. The moment they stepped in the car, we guessed that they didn't live in Finland currently, they were so untypically eager to speak with us and share experiences. Normally if Finns meet somewhere outside Finland they say hi and continue to their own directions. They lived in Australia at the moment, and so we made new friends, Antti and Daniela, and traveled the rest of the week week with them. Great to share experiences with like-minded travellers!

We spent the Saturday in Melbourne again, and then continued the loooong travel home. After which Petteri slept 6 hours and jumped to plane to Sweden...

BTW, I won the horsey game 22-19 (who sees a horse first from car and shouts it, gets a point. No other points are given during the leg, and no mercy shown).

Themes of this trip were clearly good food, good wine, and good company. Add the amazing backdrop of mountains, lakes, seashore and wildlife, who could ask for more!
